Located
in the East Texas Piney Woods, in Woodville Texas,
about 50 miles north of Beaumont, Camp Urland is open
year-round for weekend camping and winter camp long-term
camping programs. We offer quality programs for both
young and older scouts. Provisional troops are available
for both long-term camping sessions on limited bases.

Camp Urland offers winter outdoors
adventures for scouts in the Piney Woods of East Texas.
Camp Urland provides winter camping on 715 Acres in
the East Texas Piney Woods near Woodville, Texas.

250 scouts)

Junior Leader Training
A weeklong experience conducted by the council for
junior leaders to develop a deeper understanding of
their roles and responsibilities. This program is
limited to (48) participants, and is the most advanced
training offered to youth members.
Order of the Arrow
The highlight of summer Visitor’s Night activities
is the Order of the Arrow’s call-out ceremony.
Campers, selected by their peers, begin the induction
process with a ritual incorporating Native American
legends and traditions.

Camp Urland is located 2.5 miles south
of the junction of US 190 and US 69/287 in Woodville,
Texas. It is 52 miles north of the junction of IH
10 and US 69/287 in Beaumont, Texas. Camp Urland is
one mile west of US 69/287 off Spring Valley Drive.
There is a sign for camp at the intersection of Spring
Valley Drive and US 69/287.
